Cornerstone Commerce Center

Phase I

Cornerstone opened in 2005 following a $40 million transformation by Karman Development Group, LLC, of Cherry Hill, NJ, which took the vacant and deteriorating former Prudential Insurance building off the backs of Linwood's taxpayers and created a state-of-the-art office and retail facility — the new hub of business in the heart of Linwood. In the process, Cornerstone created more than 450 construction jobs and over 500 new permanent jobs.

Phase I is now complete.

In its vision, Karman Development Group knew that Cornerstone literally could anchor the heart of business development in Linwood and the region, and mirror the upscale community that Linwood is. Southern New Jersey lacks large amounts of contiguous space for businesses, which the building could offer, but to succeed its 250,000 square feet needed to be more than just office space. So Cornerstone was conceived as a mixed use concept of office and retail, allowing its employees, residents and shoppers to enjoy multiple, complementing interests at one location.

Exceptional Design and Quality

There are no other facilities of Cornerstone’s high caliber anywhere in the region. The 6,000 square foot, two-story atrium lobby features walls of custom chiseled European limestone and exquisitely detailed anigre wood panels. Marble floors exude elegance and glass enclosed elevators and skylights allow generous amounts of natural light. A lushly appointed courtyard, complete with a waterfall and pond, brings the outdoors in for employee relaxation.

Complementing this, the building is completely energy-efficient, and has fiber-optic lines and today’s latest technological features wired throughout the offices and common spaces. A new solar energy installation is planned for 2010. All in all, Cornerstone Commerce Center stands among the finest of upscale office and retail complexes to be found anywhere in the Northeast.
